This is the results of two years spent with a group of people who love and promote confrontational music and art.
A group of people who struggle to do so while living in a social construct who shuns direct confrontation and goes the extra mile to manufacture harmony and consent.
Two years being welcomed by them and tutored in understanding social conflict, second class citizenship and all the things Singapore understandably doesn’t actively advertise about itself.
These pictures are a perspective on a group of people willing to give back some functionality and comfort to reclaim wider spaces of expression and artistic freedom.
A group of people willing, at least occasionally, to turn off the air-con.
